"Lions and Tigers and Bears? Oh my!" Dorothy and her wonderous friends yell out in fear when they first enter the land of The Wizard of Oz, afraid of the fierce creatures lurking behind the bushes of that strange strange country.

The LIONS & TIGERS & BEARS' (http://24956.rapidforum.com/) early stages formed during beta2 when vonDante discovered Astrowars and invited all his friends to join. They did so reluctantly and with much effort familiarized themselves with aw's php-interface (statements like "weren't muds a thing of the 80s?" were not unheard of at the time...). However, eventually everybody started enjoying the brilliant simplicity of aw and they even figured out the refer-bonus with time (why don't we do those anymore?). Gaining momentum during beta3 and beta4, in beta5 LTB was oficially founded for the first time.

Ever since then it has been a loose circle with a solid core, picking up new members every round according to local advantages. LTB has fought alongside almost every one of the big alliances at one time or other. It's a spirited bunch, hoping to make the scoreboard eventually. They are as likely to go on a vengeance blood-hunt as they are to ignore everything but the overall highscore. No one knows what they conspire to in those crazy heads of their's, although they are known to be loyal allies, never having broken a single treaty. Sometimes they are a pinprick in a mighty one's toe, sometimes they tip the scales for the good cause.
