When buying or selling items from the Trade Screen, you will not immediately acquire the item you intend to purchase or the money you would get for selling an item. With the exceptions of Trade Agreements and PP trade (exchanging Astro Dollars for PPs or vice versa) all trade actions will occur at the 11:00 GMT (AM/PM) updates.
Also when calculating the value of the item the system will take an average of the price you saw when you sent the order and the new price this average will be the price you pay/get for the item. The "new price" calculations work the same way when selling items. The formula used is (the last price plus twice the new price) divided by three.
| Example 1. You order a Supply Unit for A$1000.00 and the price rises to A$1200.00, the price you will pay is as follows: |

| Example 2. You sell an Artifact for A$6000.00 but the price falls to A$5500.00, so the price you pay will be: |

Notes
- You can only place one purchasing order and one sales order per day
- You cannot change an order once it has been made
- You cannot place an order to buy and to sell the same item within the same trade period. For instance if you sell SUs, you will not be able to buy any until the next trade update.
If you do not have sufficient funds for the new price you will still receive the item however your A$ Balance will go into the negative. This can be cured by adding more A$ to your balance.
Prices
Prices of items will vary according to the demand and supply, i.e. if lots of players sell Supply Units and buy Astrolabes, the demand for this Artifact has risen sharply as has the supply of Supply Units. This means that the value of an SU will fall but the value of the Astrolabe will rise. Playing the market can be used to gain significant financial advantages over your enemies but could well cost you dearly. Note: New prices are calculated at the same time as orders are processed.
