For the first few weeks it was really boring round. Many good players went for holidays and others did not care so much about the race.
One day somebody noticed that yey holds many planets in Best Planets ranking. Later his fleet appeared in Top Fleets ranking as #1, far far ahead of any others. It looked that entire BSF feeded yey by generous Planet_Gifting. But it was not him who was supposed to rank. lutecefalco came first to CD and yey was his protector. He killed 1.5m CV fleets during CD on his own. Also thanks to supporting fleets from friendly alliances (XXX, DUNE, NAIN) BSF managed to defend its ranker against coalition of EE, NIAI, NOD, DI, TGD. The fact is that the attacks were not perfectly coordinated (as on holiday it is). A few minutes before the midnight lutecefalco fell below 500 but extensive Friendly Attack in last seconds allowed him to win with safe margin of 27 points.
Other events:
Naughty_Trollet IS became the player with the longest gap (13 rounds) between first and last round when he was in top-50 of the ranking (#11 in Beta 3, #46 in Gold 5). Veterans are like wine. The older, the better.
Golem from SF was kicked out from CD by ODB. Nothing special but for the fact that ODB had NAP with SF and some of its members forgot abot this detail.
One day before the end of CD Multiadmin made a small surprize to BSF and locked 30% of their accounts (80% of non-premium) for account sitting.
