The Story
The CSV's
When the round started, noone suspected that it would be the most controversial round ever! AllesRoger, the Grand Creator, gave us at the very beginning some strange changes to our warm and safe world.
He announced that battles and trade would be published as CSV files. This gave players the possibility to develop new tactics. Some say though, that it took some diplomacy from the game. Because of hot discussions the topic concerning changes grew to an enormous size!
The Roll-backs
A few weeks after the game started, the ground rumbled. Whole universe took a deep breath, the timespace became warped, and strange things began to happen. Many empires lost contact with their fleets durning that time, some say that time went backwards. Others say that it began to flow very fast.
Noone actually knows what happened. There are even people who suspected that the very Creator did not know! The Community was terrified by this incident, they became even more terrified when after a few weeks it happened again.
The BUG
After the roll-backs, the time began to flow as it usually does, and everyone calmed down. Not for long, though. Sages knew, that those cracks in reality were a sign of upcoming disaster. Through them, the Enormous BUG found a way to our universe. The trade system was affected.
In a very short time, anyone could get lots of Astrodollars using simple market manipulations. The BUG was so big, that even AR could not fix it. Players that used the bug were instantly announced cheaters, but there was no mechanism to distinguiish if someone cheated or not.
The Village People, after admitting that they used the bug on a small scale, began to accuse many players of using it, unleashing a real storm on french forums. They had, however, no proof against anyone. One must admit, though, that some of giant-fleets that appeared durning that time looked suspicious.
The AF
During the first few weeks Men of War alliance had been the unquestionable leader of Alliance ranking. They were however, attacked by some ranker-killers from Village People, and engaged in a serious conflict with Emule Empire and RAGE. This brought them down, and a new champion arose - The Astrowars Federation.
The countdown was getting closer, and VIP decided to perform a huge offensive against AF, which was considered a ranker-alliance. For some unknown reason, AF developed knowledge about VIP's jump points and emplaced its strongest fleets, mostly +4 defence race bonus, the biggest of which was owned by jama.
The result was disasterous for VIP - despite a brilliant attack plan they lost the majority of their fleets on the jump points and did not manage to hurt AF seriously. During the last days, AF were attacked from all over the galaxy; AF was brought down and a small alliance (NP), won the round a bit ahead of NIAI.
The NP
Long ago, in a distant galaxy NP is born under the DAW blessing. With force and intelligence it began to pacify the systems, Barbarians and tyrants were sweepings of the face of planets and systems... and the PAX OF DAW was imposed to all.
Meanwhile in another zone of the astrowarian universe the war was taken to the maximum. Big alliances like as Men of War, Village People, Emule Empire and RAGE among others. They fought great wars and annihilated great empires leaders in the universal race. NP with the DAW force, had to make a decision, to pacify these pagans or to follow peacefully in their corner of the universe... NP adjusted the belt, took the arms and went to the war
With good criteria NP divided their force in two: NP and NPW (NP-warriors); while NP grew, NPW had wars and found new systems step by step they were taking positions between these great alliances, debilitated and crazy by the power. The necessary diplomacy allowed to welcome in the lap of DAW in other alliances friends and NP was towards the victory, ¡the supremacy in the astrowarian universe!.
NP was crowned with the laurels of the victory, against the forces de l'obscurité (dark forces enemies of DAW)
