After the last beta, Astro Wars entered Gold 1. The most notable change of this round is the total removal of transfers.

The New Republic managed to win this round due to diplomatic decisions, reliable neighbours and of course experienced members. The situation of TNR in the beginning: Surrounded by [XR] Xtasis Rebellion upwards, [BBA] BetaBlocker Alliance on the left, [SSS] Sesame Street beneath and [TGD] The Galactic Dominion on the right and having a non-aggression pact with all of them. The nearby [CoRE] Council of Rebellious Empires could not withstand the power of TNR and the nearby TNR Academy. Still the alliance was 'only' among the top 10 alliances until the big hunting for ranking alliances started. XR - leading long period of the whole Golden Edition - where shot down, going back to top, shot down again. Same happend to NIAI and all the other alliances above in the ranking list. TNR could grow steadily and became the most powerful alliance in a moment noone could&thought about shooting them. 3 days countdown survived without major attacks nor the massive incomings from all over the univers like NIAI.
