Game Rules

This page sets out the basic rules of what behaviour is permitted and what is forbidden within the game. It deals with the conduct of players, not with how to play the game. For those things read the Game Guide, the FAQ and the Glossary.
Note: this page may be updated from time to time as rules are added, changed or removed in forum Announcements.
Prohibited
- You are not allowed to register a player name which is similar to the game admins (for example AlllesRoger, AcccAdmin, MultisAdmin). Such names will be banned immediately if registered. Also do not claim to be an admin or moderator when you are not entitled to do so.
- You are not allowed to have more than one active account (multi accounts). Active account means any account registered for the current round that is not resigned or has not been destroyed. Multi accounts will be locked then resigned from the game.
- You are not allowed to log into any account except your own, or to allow another person to log into your account (account sitting), unless MultiAdmin has approved this. Players caught doing or allowing this without permission will be locked then resigned from the game.
- You are not allowed to use scripts or bots to remain logged in or to falsely increase your login count. This creates unnecessary server load. Such bots, scripts or automated processes are forbidden and abusers will be locked.
- You are not allowed to gain advantage by using game bugs. Anyone doing so may have their account locked or resigned from the game. Please do not post at the forum any bugs found which give you an advantage (e.g. unlimited Astro Dollars). You should report it in a PM to an admin or a moderator. If you are not sure if something is a bug, report it to an admin or moderator before using it, to avoid being locked.
Fair Play
For a good competition please try to avoid:
- deliberately giving or taking planets from any allied player (Planet Gifting).
- attacking any allied player to get or give experience points (Friendly Attack).
- sending 'spam fleets' (fleets of only one or two ships) or spam messages to an enemy to deliberately fill their News Screen.
These things are not forbidden because we can't control them without interfering too much into the gameplay, therefore each player is on his or her honour to avoid doing this. Remember this is only a game, so play fair and have fun together.
