Important part of the unliked Astrobuild strategy: Players deciding to play as farmer take incredible penalties on fight and speed, in order to gain greater bonuses in Growth, Culture and Science (until Beta 7). The goal of a farmer is to own an large amount of well developed planets. Farmers typically are used to fund warrior races through trade agreements or friendly siege. Due their heavy war penalties farmers have to avoid war at any cost. Therefore you mostly find them in the Outer Rims, protected by powerful bodyguards. Only way to gain Player Level of those players is to abuse Friendly Fire.
