Is this a new bug or don't i just know it?
Had many incomings and lost the overview...
And no, i'm not confused, logged out and in again and cleared my cache already...
Example:
02:48:33 - Feb 04 The population decreased by 15 at "the same planet".
02:48:33 - Feb 04 The population decreased by 15 at "planet x"
02:48:31 - Feb 04 Attention !!! We have evidence of an incoming fleet around that time.
15 Transports
going to attack "x"!
We suppose its the Fleet of "fastplayer". _________________ B7 none / B8-G4 SJ / G5 Holidays / G6 SJ / G7 SJMA / G8-G10 SJ / G11 Holidays / G12 SJ / G13-G16 Holidays / G17 SJ |

You sent one fleet with 15 tr to the planet, but i saw 2x 15 tr decreasing my pop. And you know also that there wasn't a planet with pop 30. So not possible that it was decreased twice by 15 population...
To planet 1 you sent also 15 tr, but there everyting was ok in the news. _________________ B7 none / B8-G4 SJ / G5 Holidays / G6 SJ / G7 SJMA / G8-G10 SJ / G11 Holidays / G12 SJ / G13-G16 Holidays / G17 SJ |

It is a known bug, but we have no clue when does it occur.
Please post more reports if you encounter a similar bug, so we can maybe find out from where it comes. _________________

| For me it always occurs across two pages... Sometimes i get the message on the bottom of my first news page and then get the same message at the top of the second page. |

This would point towards a simple problem with those counters used in pagination of News page. It could even not be a bug, but just be caused by another message being added on top of News, pushing an older message from bottom of page N to top of page N+1. But that does not match Naff's original description of logging out+in and still seeing the dup.
Also... did you notice the timestamps? Usually timestamp of arrival is only one second behind time of incoming, but those two messages are 2 seconds behind. So maybe another message came in for 02:48:32 (e.g. PM or whatever). Is it still so that no two messages can have the same timestamp? If so, why? (as it could easily cause this issue) _________________ Happiness is not when you get what you want

Not the problem here.
I didn't experienced this bug, but i just checked my news screen : There is a lot of 2sec delay.
From my understanding there (and because I've been popkilled, so, many examples in my news screen ) :
1) When you attack a planet at hh:mm:00 and there is a defense
-> There is a fight at hh:mm:01
-> The planet is popkilled or taken at hh:mm:02
2) When you attack a planet at hh:mm:00 and there is no defense
-> The battle is solved at hh:mm:01 (no report in news screen)
-> The planet is popkilled or taken at hh:mm:02
So, if there is only a battle (no TR), the result will be given 1 sec later, and if there is TR (or CS), whenever there is a battle or not, this result will be given 2 sec later.
I just looked at my 6 page news-screen, checked all, and it's matching. _________________

as far as I´m informed both involved got a PM from AccountAdmin. Is there still a (new aspect of this) problem that we would have to forward to AllesRoger?

I have a counter-example for your theory:
| Quote: |
04:12:40 - Feb 10 Congratulations! Your attacking fleet was victorious at Rasalgethi 8. You lost about x% and gained 876 experience points from [BLA] LordAsgaroth
D:1403/C:3/B:3 vs D:292/C:0/B:0/S:0
04:12:41 - Feb 10 The population decreased by 3 at Rasalgethi 8. |
So maybe there is a random component depending on server load or whatever. _________________ Happiness is not when you get what you want

That's not a counter-example Gb, that's exactly what I said ^^
Fight at hh:mm:00, popkill at hh:mm:01
On LordAsgaroth screen, his fleet was supposed to arrive at 04:12:39, for sure ^^
So, to summarize :
Fleet arriving at hh:mm:00
Battle at hh:mm:01
Pop things at hh:mm:02
it works here ^^ _________________

The effect was observed again today. It appears to be caused by fleets consisting of only transports and zero CV hitting a planet with zero CV defence.
The pop-behaviour conforms to Note#2 on http://www.astrowars.com/portal/Transport
but the message should not be duplicated.
=> just a display glitch. _________________ Happiness is not when you get what you want
