Population

Every level of population will give you the following:

+1 production per level
+1 science per level

To increase your population you need a certain amount of food to sustain the next level of population (See Hydroponic Farm for food production) and you need to be advanced enough in the field of Social Science to accommodate for the extra population.

Your planets population can also under go a spontaneous growth due to it having a Social Science 6 levels above that of the planets population.

Note: This is the determining factor of the order of your planets .
Note: The first level of Population will also give you +1 food but subsequent levels of population attained will not affect food output.
